Udayana University seeks to be a leading university that produces high potential graduates who become the best in their generation. We It also aims to have graduates who develop further towards self-reliance; and remain fully engaged with our local indigenous knowledge and practices.
The university’s vision stated in the 2017 statute is becoming an excellent, self-reliance and culture-oriented university
To achieve similar perception and understanding on the direction of the university’s long-term development for the academic and administrative staff, as well as the students (civitas academica), the vision description is outlined as follows.
Excellent refers to those who are highly competent, competitive and wise in developing their knowledge to enhance values of the state, nation, and human beings in general (referred as cakra widya prawartana). Such outstanding human resources are alligned to the university’s motto taki-takining sewake guna widya.
Self-reliance refers to those who develop strong personality and ability in interacting with their dynamically changing environment.
Culture-oriented refers to those who develop inner sensitivity and sharpness that enable the utilization of great local cultural values, which are universal in nature for social interaction.
Halu Oleo University (UHO), located in Kendari, Southeast Sulawesi, Indonesia, is a prominent institution dedicated to academic excellence and community service. The university offers a wide range of undergraduate, postgraduate, and diploma programs, emphasizing innovation, research, and regional development, particularly in coastal, marine, and rural studies. UHO's commitment to high-quality education and meaningful community engagement is evident through its collaborations with industry partners, government agencies, and international institutions, enhancing its educational and research capabilities.
The Faculty of Engineering at Halu Oleo University aims to be nationally distinguished by 2030, producing professional graduates with a focus on coastal, marine, and rural areas. It offers diverse programs in civil, electrical, mechanical, marine, and environmental engineering, among others. The faculty emphasizes innovative research and community service, involving students and staff in projects addressing local challenges. Equipped with advanced laboratories and extensive libraries, the faculty fosters an environment of academic excellence and practical experience, preparing graduates to contribute to sustainable development and global engineering challenges.
Islamic University of Kalimantan (UNISKA) Muhammad Arsyad Al Banjari is the oldest and largest private university in South Kalimantan located in the cities of Banjarmasin and Banjarbaru, established in 1981 by the UNISKA Foundation consisting of religious and community leaders who are concerned with the development of education in the region.
Currently, UNISKA MAB has 10 faculties, 21 undergraduate study programmes, and five postgraduate or master study programmes, with approximately 21,000 students. UNISKA continues to be committed to becoming an excellent local campus with global insights by establishing international cooperation in realising its vision.
One of the faculties in UNISKA is the Faculty of Engineering which now has 4 study programmes, namely Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Industrial Engineering. Togetherness in various fields of engineering will realise the development of innovation and technology with local wisdom that develops in line with global industrial progress.
